Welcome to the 2013 edition of Bloggers To Watch. My work has changed a lot over the past year – I’ve been focused a lot on the Australian blogger community, and on curators – so this post is very centered on those communities. So I always encourage beginning bloggers to start by establishing yourself as a voice people want to listen to. I think one of the greatest keys to be successful as a blogger — both in terms of building a readership and making an income from your blogging efforts — is consistency. Or can that come later? The original idea came on 30 July 2005, when I decided that I’d write a 31 day series of blog posts here on ProBlogger, each day containing homework for readers. I started pondering what would happen if I held a training day for bloggers in Melbourne. The idea paid off—it eventually evolved into my bestselling ebook.
