Benjamin Franklin once wrote to the Royal Society of London: “I have already made this paper too long, for which I must crave pardon, not having now time to make it shorter.” Yes, writing short can be far more difficult than letting the pen rip. And writing a short description of your novel — like the three tight paragraphs you need in a query letter — is one of the hardest tasks of all.
