Author Frank Goff’s book, Chicago Crime Story: A true-crime novel inspired by actual events , is a deep dive into some of the cases he worked on the streets of Chicago. It was thrilling to collaborate with a retired police detective and experience the eye-opening drama of behind-the-scenes scenarios he faced as a first responder, often under cover.
