Twitter is one of the most important social media platforms of them all. To say the least, it helps us promote whatever we might have “in store.” I mean, there’s hardly a successful business out there with no presence on Twitter whatsoever. Now, having an official account and posting to it regularly seems to be. The post 9 Ways to Integrate Twitter With WordPress (Beginner’s Guide) appeared first on ThemeIsle Blog.
One of the key success factors in marketing is the ability of a marketer to seize a certain moment – jumping on a trending item that will resonate with their audience, and repackaging it so it’s relevant to the reader. We’re all individuals, and what we like could be totally different to our friends. But if people are interested in your blog, they are interested in you, and what you’re interested in.

This is a guest contribution from Adam Costa and Darcie Connell. Whew. It’s been a busy day. It started off by creating three video lessons for a new course for 10xtoday.com. After that, I edited and revised the introduction to our new book which will be launching next month, and now I’m working on this post. And it’s only 11 a.m. Content marketing is an arms race.

He went from being laid off in 2008 to creating a website to help people pass an architectural exam – earning $7000 in his first month.
This is a guest contribution from Victor Ijidola. When readers find your content helpful and interesting, they get glued to it, read more of your posts, share them, leave comments, join your email list or even buy whatever you’ve got to sell. In simple English, they convert. But when the other end of the spectrum happens, they don’t engage or relate to your content, conversion becomes difficult and bounce rate soars, right?

“That’s it! I’m starting a blog!”. We all had that fire, that passion when we first started a blog. The excitement of creating content and putting it out into the world was tangible… that feeling (and motivation) to publish a few posts and see what everybody thinks. Fast forward a few months: what happened? Where did all that motivation go!? Now that excitement somehow turned into: “I just have a blog that nobody reads, I’m tired of updating, and I’m wondering if it’s even still worth it.”
This is a guest contribution from Tewfik Cassis. For a startup or brand new blog, every milestone poses its challenges, but perhaps none more so than the first one – that daunting task of breaking outside of your friends and family into your first set of real readers or customers. It can be overwhelming for many. Where do you even start? How do you break in to an already oversaturated market?
This is a guest contribution from Luke Guy. Let me start this post by telling you a quick story: I once created this niche site that I thought would do really well. I wanted to flex my SEO skills, and see if I could a new site ranked rather quickly (I talk about how I perform outreach with sites like this at Lukeguy.com). The new site would solve a problem like no other in its field – I had created this site for insect identification purposes, and it would help people with identifying bugs

This is a guest contribution from Garik Himebaugh. Unless you live in a cave, you’ve probably heard of the 80/20 Principle. It’s been mentioned by productivity experts as well as the likes of entrepreneurs Tim Ferriss and Ramit Sethi. If you do in fact live in a cave, I suggest you move somewhere with plumbing… and people. While widely mentioned and talked about, the principle is sadly misunderstood and given much less attention than it deserves.
While traffic to a blog is usually top of mind for a blogger, the real gold is when you create recurring traffic from loyal and engaged fans. It’s all very well and good to have lots of numbers in your stats, but if nobody is interacting or sticking around, it actually doesn’t get you very far at all. With this end goal in mind, you’ll find that it’s creating content that creates memories in your audience that’s important.
Recently I received a question from Susan, a long-term listener of the ProBlogger podcast. Her query was one I think a lot of people struggle with once they feel as though they may have the content production for their blogs under control, but are wondering how to get that content in front of the right people. I feel like my idea generation is going well and that the writing and completion phases are great, but I can’t help but wonder if there is more that I should be doing after I hit publish,
This is a guest contribution from Kenneth Waldman. Online marketing can be an impossible task without quality content. There is so much content online to start with, and social media algorithms are making that content harder and harder to see. The question we are all asking ourselves is how can we provide quality content in a quality way online? How can we create that content?

There may come a time in your blogging or online career where for whatever reason, you think it’s time to quit. In the last two episodes of the ProBlogger podcast, we’ve explored things that entrepreneurs should do if they want to be successful – the first is to just start , and the follow-up episode focused on persistence even when you want to give up.
This guest post is by Dan Kaufman of Media Survival. Most people don’t read online – they scan. They read the first few words of a sentence and, if they don’t like it, they’ll start scanning the page looking for something else that might help them. This was the verdict from usability guru Jakob Nielsen back in 1997 , and it’s even more relevant now that reading on mobiles has become so prevalent.
This post was inspired by some brief thoughts I shared on my new Instagram Account – InfluenceTalks – this week. Before I started blogging, I worked as a part-time youth minister at a local church. As part of that role, I occasionally had the honour of conducting weddings and to meet with couples before their big day to talk about their relationship.
If the first most important thing you’ll ever do as an entrepreneur is just start (and keep starting!) the second most important thing you can do is to not give up. Not give up when the going gets tough, not give up when you feel as though you can’t go any further, not give up when you’ve tried your best but hit a standstill. It’s often when you feel like throwing in the towel that you finally hit paydirt.

Quite a few years ago now I first stepped into the world of blogging – almost by accident, and certainly when I had plenty of odds stacked against me. A friend emailed me a link to a blog, TallSkinnyKiwi.com , and I clicked over to find out what a blog was, and what it would look like. I could easily have deleted that email, or it could have gone straight to my junk folder without ever even seeing it.
This is a guest contribution from Lesley Vos. We’re being told constantly that mobile content is like a snack, long texts are dead. People don’t read much now, and they just watch videos or scroll pictures. They’re time poor, they consume small bits frequently and move on. And as it goes on, things get more complicated: users don’t fix eyes on anything for more than seven seconds.
Happy Saturday, ProBlogger readers! I’ve had a bumper week rounding these tips and newsbites up for you. The Pinterest stuff is extra useful if you’ve seen a drop in traffic referral from there, and I found vlogger Jim Chapman’s tips to be very interesting… it’s always nice to hear that even the big guns suffer from a little self-doubt.

For some bloggers, it isn’t the lack of ideas holding them back, it’s finding the motivation to get them finished. People leave blogs in draft mode for all kinds of reasons – they run out of things to say, they’re not sure how to end the post, they know it needs something added but don’t know what, the post needs more research, it needs an image, or maybe it’s just that attention just goes elsewhere.
