There is a huge debate about whether or not writers should write for free. It’s been going on for as long as I can remember, so let’s talk about it once again. My thoughts about writing for free are rooted in my background as a marketer and an entire field of marketing called content marketing that companies are desperately trying to understand and integrate with social media and traditional marketing tactics and strategies.
Towards the end of every year, I step back, take stock, see where “I’m at”, and… more importantly… try to figure out where I’m going. This year, the stakes have never been higher.
